Non-Profit Grant Consideration
The Blooming Prairie Foundation intends to make decisions on the next round of grants in April 2011. To be considered for a grant, please submit your proposal & materials electronically (bpfinfo@yahoo.com) so that they are received no later than 5:00 p.m. (CST) on FEBRUARY 1, 2012.
To be considered for a grant, your organization should submit the following information:

The application form, completed in its entirety, including the required signature from your organization's board chair or chief executive officer.

A line-item budget If the request is for partial support, submit the entire budget and show the projected amounts and sources of other financial and in-kind support. Proposals without this budget will not be accepted. You may use the form provided below.
- A one-page summary of the proposal. Proposals without the summary will not be accepted.
- A proposal of not more than seven pages that answers the following questions:
- What is the chartered purpose of your organization?
- What is the brief history of your organization?
- What is the purpose of the grant?
- By what steps does the organization propose to accomplish the grant purposes?
- When do those steps begin and when are they completed?
- How does this request relate to your organization's long-range planning, including your strategic vision and priorities?
- How does this request relate to the Blooming Prairie Foundation's goals?
- A copy of your organization's letter of tax-exempt status from the U. S. Internal Revenue Service.
- A list of the members of the governing board of the organization.
- A list of at least 3 references who we may contact about your organization.
- Any optional materials to supplement the proposal, if appropriate.
